sand and footprints
Footprints In The Sand - Leona Lewis You walked with me Footprints in the sand And helped me understand Where I'm going You walked with me When I was all alone With so much unknown Along the way Then I heard you say I promise you I'm always there When your heart is filled with sorrow And despair I'll carry you When you need a friend You'll find my footprints in the sand I see my life Flash across the sky So many times have I Been so afraid And just when I Have thought I'd lost my way You gave me strength to carry on That's when I heard you say I promise you I'm always there When your heart is filled with sorrow And despair I'll carry you When you need a friend You'll find my footprints in the sand When I'm weary Well, I know you've been there And I can feel you when you say I promise you I'm always there When your heart is filled with sadness And despair I'll carry you When you need a friend You'll find my footprints in the sand When your heart is full of sadness And despair I'll carry you When you need a friend You'll find my footprints in the sand i did not know simon cowell could write such beautiful words. very beautiful. very comforting. inspired by this: One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one only set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord, that if I followed you,you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life, there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, had you not been there for me?" The Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand is when I carried you, my child." -Mary Stevenson i couldn't help it, i edited the grammar and added like three words to make it more impactful(to me). what a grammar nazi. i teared. |
